Icehouse Music and Who We Are:

Icehouse Music is an Independent Texas music label and distributor. In 2003, our founder and president David Gardner discovered a glaring deficiency in the business of distributing Texas music CDs. He went on to develop a new methodology to establish a much needed distribution link between Texas musicians and their fans; a link that put the great sounds of Texas at the fingertips of the music consumer in new and accessible locations all across the Lone Star State.

In response to the exploding Texas Music movement, Icehouse has developed and placed unique CD point of purchase displays throughout Texas. Icehouse also offers our complete catalog of Texas Music in our secure online store with the goal of making Texas Music accessible worldwide.

Icehouse Music Gives Back:

At Icehouse Music we love Texas Music and work with multiple organizations to promote and preserve the Music of Texas. Our goal is to ensure Texas Music and it’s artists have the ability to thrive in today’s competitive music market. Icehouse Music wants Texas Music to be around, now and in the future. Texas Music Project

 

Proceeds go to support the TEXAS MUSIC PROJECT.  The Texas Music Project works in conjunction with the Texas music industry and the state of Texas, the Texas Music Educators Association, the Texas Commission on the Arts, and the Texas Coalition for Quality Arts Education.

The primary mission of TMP is to help strengthen and restore music education to Texas schools.  Their objective is to raise awareness of the benefits of music education and the related needs of schools; build capacity and funding for music education in local communities and schools; and enable more informed decision making among decision makers at both the state and local levels. www.texasmusicproject.org

Center for Texas Music History at Texas State University, San Marcos

 

Proceeds benefit the CENTER FOR TEXAS MUSIC HISTORY AT TEXAS STATE UNIVERSITY SAN MARCOS. The Center for Texas Music History at Texas State University-San Marcos is a unique program focusing on the preservation and study of Texas and Southwestern music history; with an emphasis on how Texas music reflects the rich history and tremendous cultural diversity of the Southwest. www.txstate.edu/ctmh

Cheatham Street Music Foundation

 

Proceeds go to support The CHEATHAM STREET MUSIC FOUNDATION.  Cheatham Street Music Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to developing, promoting, preserving, and perpetuating Texas music.
